Cod Liver Oil

This viscous fish oil is not only rich in valuable Omega 3 and 6 oils, but also has a distinctive aroma that fish find attractive. The viscosity of Cod Liver Oil slightly limits the variety of applications for which it is suitable, but is very effective with particles when added to the boiling water during particle preparation so that it soaks into the particles as the cool. Corn Steep Liquor

Corn Steep Liquor has become one of the most successful liquid additives of the last few years. It is a dark, chocolate brown colour and has a distinctive beer-like aroma and slightly bittersweet yeast taste. Produced as a result of the maize steeping process, CSL is an activating liquid that is ideal for use within many different types of bait. Whilst being a superb liquid additive for boilie mixes, it is also suitable for use on pellets (as it will not dissolve them), particles, stick mixesand spod mixes where a natural, subtle, yeasty/meaty attractor is required. Corn Sweet Syrup

This exclusive liquid is a viscous, naturally sweet syrup extracted from whole maize and is primarily used in the animal and human food industry as an improver of palatability (flavour enhancer). It has a very dense physical state and reasonably low water content, allowing it to be fished effectively in PVA bags without melting them. Feed Stim XP

This exciting new addition to our range has certainly been making big waves on the specimen carp scene. For some time it has been tested on some of the UK's most challenging waters and has produced some incredible results. Designed for use on all bait items from boilies to groundbaits, it has been so effective throughout the trialling period that we believe it to be the ultimate liquid fish feeding stimulant.
The way is works is to stimulate the fish's chemoreceptors to motivate it to feed, much like certain foods and palatability enhancers do to humans and other animals. The natural enhancers are combined with a group of essential amino acids in such a profile that almost guarantees to supply fish with nutrients (and limiting amino acids) that they need but often find very difficult to source in their natural environment, particularly at times of the year when natural foods are less plentiful or even completely unavailable. This two pronged approach to attraction means that fish will pick up the baits that include this liquid either out of taste stimulation through water soluble attractors, association of taste from an enjoyable experience of eating baits that contain it in the past, or as a result of it supplying required nutrients that aren't available elsewhere in the fish's natural habitat.

We have found this liquid extraordinarily effective when used with food baits, however it really creates a prolonged boost of attraction when used with method, particle, pellet, stick, spod and groundbait mixes too. It doesn't melt pva and has regularly attracted fish to hookbaits that have been in the water for only a matter of minutes.
During four notable testing periods fish of 32+, 40+, 42+ and 46+ were caught by different anglers on different waters on the first occasion it was used. These and other similar instances have led us to believe that Feedstim XP is the ultimate liquid fish feeding stimulant.

This concentrated 'nutty' liquid is the pure oil extracted from hemp seed. It is rich in vitamins, minerals, Omega 3, 6 and 9 oils and is recognised as a valuable source of polyunsaturated fatty acids. Used in the human health food industry for its antioxidant properties, hemp oil is known as a superb fish attractor, and is the principal attractant associated with split hemp seed. Liquid Bait Preservative

This liquid preservative is made from human food grade ingredients and is designed to inhibit the growth of most common moulds known to develop on standard food items. It is usually applied at the mixing stage and is included as 30% of the liquid egg inclusion. E.g. If a mix requires 9 eggs, we recommend that 6 eggs are used and the other 3 eggs are replaced with liquid preservative. As a guideline, we work on the basis that each medium egg usually provides 50-60ml of liquid; therefore a 9-egg mix would require 150-180ml of preservative.

Liquid Betaine

Liquid Glycerine

This clear viscous liquid is commonly used for producing bait dips which enable attractors to 'cling' to dipped baits. Liquid Kelp Complex

This thick black syrup is a product derived from the sugar processing industry. It is a naturally sweet, slightly liquorice-smelling product with a density similar to that of treacle. Trout/Halibut Pellet Oil

One of the key reasons behind any fish's addiction to trout and halibut pellets is the oil that is incorporated in them. Worm Protein Extract

This pungent natural liquid is a highly digestible source of free amino acids extracted from pure whole organic earthworms. These worms are liquidised to form a ‘soup’ which is then treated with enzymes to break down the naturally high protein content of around 61%, into free amino acids which naturally act as incredibly effective attractors of all coarse fish species.

This enzyme hydrolysis (pre-digestion treatment) is carefully controlled and monitored over a 6 month period before the liquid reaches the optimum state and hence the point of maximum attraction. During this vital process the 17 amino acids contained in the worm protein are increased in concentration 12 fold (x 12) making a finished liquid which adds an incredible nutrient and attraction profile to any bait.

Talin

Talin is a completely natural sweetener, which is extracted from an African fruit. It provides a highly concentrated sweetness without any trace of bitter after-taste. Belachan Powder

As such an incredible fish attractor, it was always our intention to source this powdered version which is more user friendly for inclusion in base mixes, stick mixes, ground baits and other bait applications. With a significantly higher dry matter content than the block, it also has a stronger aroma and taste and can therefore be used at a lower inclusion rate in order to provide the same level of attraction.

Hydrolysed Poultry Protein

During 2009 we supplied ‘Squid Liver Extract’ powder to customers for addition to their base mixes and all kinds of high quality loose feed mixes. This product has been discontinued due to one of the ineffective ‘carrier’ ingredients (a very bland squid product) becoming banned for use in fish foods by European Union ministers. The result is that a significantly more effective, natural hydrolysed poultry-based protein powder, with the same nutrient profile, has been created to achieve the exact same attraction and feeding response.

Spirulina (Blue Green Algae Powder)

Spirulina is a blue-green micro algae that grows naturally in lakes and waterways. It supports and feeds many natural organisms thus improving the food population of any water where it is present. Spirulina is extremely rich in the antioxidant Beta Carotene that enables fish to effectively fight diseases and biological challenges, allowing weight gains to be maximised. Squid Powder

Fargepulver

This dye has been used with great success in the U.K. and European bait industry and enables companies to give their baits strong, vivid colours that increase the attraction properties of their baits. Its non-soluble nature makes it suitable for inclusion in baits that are used on short or long sessions.

We recommend the following inclusion levels:

Hookbaits: 30-40g per kg of base mix.

Boilies (standard bottom baits and freebies): 10-20g per kg of base mix.

To increase the concentration of colour in your baits, simply increase the amount of dye added. If your baits are not as bright as you want them you can add white dye to the mix, but also need to consider other ingredients in your base mix recipe. Dark ingredients will drastically reduce the effect of some bait dyes and may need to be reduced or even removed from your mix in order to achieve the colour you require.

Live System Base Mix

This mix really is something different. Incorporated into Live System Base Mix are a number of ingredients that have not previously been used in the UK bait industry therefore producing a finished boilie that will present the fish with a food item that they will not associate with danger.
Based on milk proteins, vegetable proteins, seeds, egg biscuit meal and other digestible ingredients, Live System has been successful throughout the year. However, with its creamy, sweet aroma and distinctive yeast undertone coming from Pure Corn Steep Liquor Powder, it has been particularly effective when fished during the autumn and winter months. Containing other valuable fish attractors such as Betaine, Lactose Conc. B+, Enzyme Treated Yeast, Concentrated Yeast and fermentation products, this is a non-fish meal mix which easily takes flavours, textures and colours in its production.

Meteor Base Mix

Plain Pop Up Mix

This spray-dried, food-grade casein is of superior quality to all others we sampled. Being of 90mesh grade, it will enable finished boilies to maintain a semi-soft, moist centre when incorporated into a base mix. This casein has a protein content in excess of 90% and is ideal for use in H.N.V. baits where a high protein content and quality is sought.

Krill Meal

This strong smelling, powerful meal has been used for many years in the production of high quality carp baits. Its salmon pink colour and distinctive crustacean aroma make it almost irresistible to carp. Antarctic Krill Meal also has a coarse physical appearance, which helps to add a rough texture to baits and increase the leakage properties of the finished bait if added at the correct level

Krill Meal is a very light ingredient and effectively reduces the density of baits, thus enabling them to fly up into the mouth of feeding carp more quickly. But beware of over-inclusion as you may end up with buoyant baits!

Blood Plasma

This excellent binder/hardener has been widely used in the bait industry for several years where a taste, colour or aroma-free product is required. Blood Plasma is the concentrated binding fraction of Purified Blood Powder and is free of the red blood cells that dye baits brown. It gels quickly and effectively, even in baits that have a moderate to high oil content, and gives boilies a light skin with a firm, but flexible centre, enabling attractor leakage and bait breakdown to take place.

We recommend using 30-60g/kg in base mixes where a moderate to strong bind is required and up to 100g/kg in base mixes when producing hard hookbaits and cork ball pop up mixes.

Blood Plasma can also be used to make paste baits by adding to the paste mix at 20-40g/kg.

Blood Powder (Purified)

Recent animal food industry scares have made it difficult to source mammalian meat products, but we can now offer you this highly concentrated blood/haemoglobin powder, which has been screened and purified. With high nutritional qualities and an excellent crude protein value it makes a superb bait ingredient, ideal for binding and hardening whilst giving a dark red/brown finish to baits (great for darkening fish meal baits). Blue Cheese Powder

Used by many successful anglers over a number of years, this Danish extra mature blue cheese powder adds a strong savoury taste and aroma to baits, which fish seem to detect. Baits containing this additive at 10% inclusion have achieved markedly increased catch rates when compared to baits containing none.

As well as a distinctive stilton-type aroma this powder adds a complex salt profile that has proven to be an effective fish attractor in even the coldest conditions.

Calcium Caseinate

Calcium Caseinate is soluble lactic casein. This high quality, human food grade milk protein hasa crude protein content in excess of 96% and is another very popular ingredient for base mix inclusion where a high nutritional value bait is required.

Inclusion levels require careful consideration as Calcium Caseinate is not only soluble but is also very light. Including 4oz per lb may be suitable if there is little other soluble ingredient in the mix and a reasonable amount of dense ingredient. If this is not the case, lower levels should be considered.

Chilli Powder

Over the past couple of years Chilli Powder has become more and more popular as a bait ingredient. Previously used mainly in particle preparations like our own 'Hot Hemp', it has more recently been used to great effect in boilie mixes where a distinctive 'bite' that fish find very attractive is required.

As a natural colourant, Chilli Powder dyes baits orange/brown but will also add valuable vitamins, minerals and a similar, but more powerful, spicy taste and aroma to that which Robin Red is renowned for.

Cork Dust

This fine cork powder is ideal for use in conjunction with your own base mix to produce buoyant, critically balanced or reduced density hook baits.

Simply add it to the desired powders at the dry mixing stage before adding eggs and any additives of your choice. Boil the rolled baits for the usual period required for your mix and leave to dry for 24 hours+. As a starting point try using 50:50 base mix: cork dust in a small batch to test the buoyancy of the resulting baits.

Crunchy Kelp Meal

Crunchy Kelp Meal can be used in base mixes or method mixes to add valuable vitamins (seaweed/kelp is the only non-animal source of Vitamin B12), minerals, trace elements and attractors as well as a texture that carp love. Egg Albumen

Fine Oyster Shell

If you are looking to add 'crunch' to your baits, here's the answer. This fine ground oyster shell can be added into mixes at around 10% to add texture, a 'flecked' appearance and weight tobaits when distance is required with a throwing stick. Fine oystershell is also a valuable source of calcium.

Fish Meal, Herring = Sildemel

This Scottish, Herring, Blue Whiting and Capelin-based fishmeal is of a higher quality than most 'standard' fishmeals, being of higher meat quality and treated at reduced temperatures thus maintaining protein structure and content. At 70% protein this percentage is approximately 4% higher than Standard Fish Meal, whilst the oil content is around 8%.

L.T = Low Temperature

This high quality meal is the genuine article where low temperature fishmeals are concerned. Produced from chilled raw fish, it is treated at low drying temperatures, maintaining more of the nutritional qualities and amino acids, making it far superior to most standard fishmeals. With an oil content of around 11% and a protein content of 72%+ (of which 94% is digestible), LT94 is the first choice of bait manufacturers where a bulk fishmeal is required.

Fish Meal, Pre-Digested( Enzyme Treated)

After using different types of pre-digested fishmeal, we believe this product to be the best version available. Fish Meal, Standard

Lactalbumen

Lactalbumen is a milk protein of the very highest quality, having a protein content in excess of 88%. It consists of two main protein forms - lactalbumin and lacto globulins. Where high nutritional value baits are sought, Lactalbumen is an ideal ingredient that can be included with, or instead of, other milk proteins such as caseins, whey protein etc.

Because of its superior protein quality compared to other milk proteins, Lactalbumen supplies greater amounts of the main essential amino acids required by carp.

Lactalbumen is a soluble milk protein that can be used as an effective binder at 5 - 10% inclusion, depending on other ingredients used. Due to its solubility it is ideal for use where a quick break down bait is required, particularly if the boiling time is kept to a minimum.

Lamlac Milk Powder

This superbly creamy milk powder has been a favourite among experienced bait makers for many years. Made from 60% skimmed milk powder it has a very smooth taste and gently binds mixes without making them hard. It has a protein and oil content of 20-24% so delivers essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals to baits as well as adding a very attractive natural milky taste and aroma.

We recommend Lamlac is included in boilie mixes at up to 150g/kg but care must be taken to ensure the oil content of the mix is not too high. Whilst its inclusion may help the binding of the mix it can also hinder the hardening of the finished bait.

Limestone Flour

Limestone flour has been used in the bait industry for some time. As very fine ground limestone it has a harsh hardness that is evident in finished baits that contain it. Primarily used to add density (weight) to baits to enable them to be thrown further in throwing sticks, it is also a valuable source of calcium, supplementing that sourced naturally by fish as they crunch up the shells of mussels and snails. Baits that contain limestone flour also tend to be firmer and slightly crunchier than those without it.

CLO (Moore's)

As a bait ingredient, Moore's CLO has excellent functional, nutritional and attraction qualities. Functionally, it adds binding and textural benefits to any boilie mix. Meanwhile, the egg, seed and cereal products included in this ingredient provide valuable proteins, oils and carbohydrates to give an impressive nutrient and attraction profile.

Maize Flour

Maize Meal is a popular bulk ingredient produced by fine grinding maize. As mentioned under 'Maize Meal', carp are attracted to maize products irrespective of their format. As an inexpensive ingredient, Maize Flour is also popular for 'bulking out' baits and has very little taste and virtually no smell. Many anglers will recognise it as the fine yellow flour that is commonly used by tackle shops as a 'dusting' material for maggots.

Maize Meal

Another popular bulk ingredient, Maize Meal is produced by grinding maize less finely than for Maize Flour. Carp seem to love all maize products, and Maize Meal is certainly no exception. It has very little taste, no smell and is a white and yellow-flecked meal, very commonly used for method mix and ground bait inclusion.

Meat Meal (Purified) = Kjøttmel

As with Blood Powder, this Purified Meat Meal has been treated to maintain quality and freshness. Without having to add synthetic flavours which blow over a short time, Meat Meal adds a powerful, natural meaty aroma giving baits a completely different dimension. Poultry Protein Meal

In the last two years, one of the most pressing questions faced by the global animal feed, aquaculture and fish bait industries is: What protein source can we use to replace fish meal in animal and fish food diets?

This question has arisen due to issues of cost and availability of fish meal, legislation, quality control and consistency of physical and nutritional properties. We believe that this product is a superb option as a fish meal replacement. It has a consistent mid-brown colour, an attractive mild cooked chicken aroma, very similar functional properties to fish meal, an excellent protein quality with a crude content of 70%, and an oil level of approximately 11% (the same as LT94 Fish Meal). Not only is it a superb protein source but it also gives baits an excellent alternative aroma and taste to that of fish meal.

Rennet Casein

As with our Acid Casein, this Rennet Casein is of the highest quality available. It has a proteincontent in excess of 95% and is excellent for use within buoyant or semi-buoyant baits. Rennet is air-dried on a fluidised base and is recommended for use in conjunction with Acid Casein as the combination delivers a more complete profile of amino acids to base mixes. Roasted Peanut Meal = Ristet peanøttmel

With increasing pressure on the availability and price of fishmeals, alternative viable protein sources are always of considerable interest to bait makers and companies. Roasted Peanut Meal is not only a valuable source of quality protein (at around 40% crude protein) but is also a very attractive meal that has a deep nutty aroma with the added bonus of being roasted for extra flavour and nutrient digestibility. As a fine, pale, slightly oily meal, Roasted Peanut Meal can be used in bird food, milk protein or even fish meal baits to add a smooth aroma, texture and retained moisture content.

Robin Red

Well what can you say about Robin Red that hasn't been said lots of times before? We can't tell you a great deal about the make up of this ingredient, as it isn't ours! This product is sourced from Haiths and is the original Robin Red that has helped anglers catch so many fish down the years. Made from peppers, oils, sugars and crushed seeds, it has a deep, 'beetroot red' colour that traces through as a red or brown tinge in finished baits. The strength of colour in finished boilies greatly depends on other ingredients included in the base mix, but we recommend a minimum inclusion of 10%.

Semolina

This Soya Flour is fine-ground, enzyme inactive, full-fat soya bean meal. Supergold 60 (60% maize protein)

Supergold 60 is a fine, gritty meal, made from the high protein fraction of maize. It is a very highly digestible source of quality protein that is becoming more and more widely used within the bait and aquaculture industry as a fishmeal-replacing ingredient. With a protein content of 60%, and an energy content of around 20% higher than fish meal, Supergold 60 has a great deal of nutritional value to offer to baits as well as functional and appearance properties. This 80% protein whey protein powder should not be confused with the lower protein material. Whole Egg Powder

At an inclusion level of 10%, this can be used as a direct replacement for liquid egg.
