We have taken the best bits of the isotonic range of boilies and combined them with the best ingredients that money can buy. We use ingredients that may cost you the earth if you bought them by the kilo. For example we use krill meal, shrimp meal and low temperature fish meals, Bio CP, belachan, yeasts and many other ingredients too numerous to mention. Many of the ingredients have come into fashion recently but we have been using them for the past 20 years, even longer in some instances. This range of bait is designed to attract carp using a fabulous base mix and natural attractors.We know that for a long-term bait a natural, low powered flavour, is important. Twinned with Mistral’s 22 years of experience sourcing the best additives and machining the most attractive and nutritional baits the end result was always going to be special – but quite how special we had no idea until indicators started smacking into rod butts everywhere it was taken.
Totally carp friendly and using three types of nuts and a blend of birdfoods to create a nutritious, digestible and attractive alternative to the heavily used fishmeals of today i40 has a beautiful blend of natural sweetness with a spicy edge. With a taste and smell like a sweet nutty toffee Allan calls it Spicy Hob Nobs.From our own home patch of Northamptonshire to the Cotswolds to Cambridgeshire, everywhere i40 has been taken it has produced phenomenal action. Tim’s first trip produced a brace of 30 lb commons, and started a tremendous run of action, resulting in a staggering 27 30 lb commons. i40 Red
The i40 has been an incredibly successful bait for alot of anglers good enough to spot a winner. There are always exceptions, but the carp in most waters it has been used hit on the i40 instantly. Tim Wagner and especially Duncan Arrandale have appeared in the angling press on many occasions last year with 30lb plus commons from Farriers.Mistral never rest on our laurels and improvement year on year is what we are about. We know a good base mix when we see one and then keep tweaking it to get the maximum benefit. Our Isotonic range has been going for years now, the No Name range catches today as well as it did at the start and now it is time to offer a second generation i40 the i40 RED.
What is different then? Robin Red has been part of many Mistral products for alot of years and the i40 RED has generous amounts of this quite brilliant fish attractor within its skin. Add to this an increased dose of eastern spices that make this bait taste awesome. Difficult to describe but sweetness, spices and general great tastes abound in this new bait. Being a darker colour many anglers may prefer this to the standard i40 if they have been bothered by waterfowl.

SLR II (Squid and Liver)
This bait is new to UK anglers in 2011. However it is one that we have been developing for a few years behind the scenes. The testing of this bait has been done by some household names from throughout Europe and some of the reports are nothing short of exceptional. We know of several 70lb plus mirrors and commons from wild, untamed lakes plus a whole bucket full of 50's and 60's along with back up fish that would be most anglers personal bests.We took our Live R and set about making it better. Not an easy job considering this bait caught carp from the off and has continued to do so since its release. The natural liver extracts used in this bait are amongst the very best attractors available anywhere but we have added several little extras that just seem to make it better. The main difference that you will notice is the Squid essence that slightly over powers the natural liver extracts but not by too much. Both attractors dissipate really well into the water allowing fish to pick up on them instantly. Not only do we reckon it is top notch but the Carpology tank tests confirmed it - SLR came out on top when compared with other attractors on the market
The base mix is probably just as important as the attractors in a long term bait and you wont go far wrong with this one - Liver powder, blood haemoglobin, meat meals, fish meals and micronised cereals along with selected oils and of course the great attractors.

MINI FLUOROESCENT POP UPS
How many times have you needed that really small pop up to tip off a larger bait or for just simply offering a minute bait to wary carp? Quite often I expect. Now you can have a bait instead of a piece of plastic to do this job. These Micro Pops are as buoyant as you would expect from a mistral pop up and they do not sink after an hour in the water either. We expect them to still be buoyant in the morning after a night session as long as you took care mounting them on your rig. There is a melange of six colours in each pot and they are available in either Rosehip and Pineapple flavours, or natural for those of you who want to flavour them with something of your choice.

Every carp angler should keep some of these in his rucksack for those times when carp surprise you and start feeding from the surface. We have all seen them do this, even in cold conditions, and we end up wishing we had some floaters with us. These are a rubbery biscuit floater that are soft enough to pierce with a hook yet hard enough to withstand a really good cast. GROUNDBAITS
All of the Mistral groundbaits are multi purpose attractors that are ideal for all lake and river fishing. In fact during tests in the Anglers Mail last year they came out towards the top of the pile - not bad considering they whooped some very well known products from some very well known manufacturers in the process.
These groundbaits can be used as cloud feed, balling, blockend and even method fishing according to how you mix them and with which additives. By adding oily attractors you will get baits ideally suited to bottom fishing with or without a feeder. By adding a more watery attractor a cloud effect may be easier to produce.
